A striking antique Caucasian Sumak carpet, woven circa 1900. This piece features three large hooked and indented medallions, surrounded by bold angular and hooked motifs, ivory floral octagons, and distinctive dart motifs. The composition is framed by a dynamic border incorporating crab rosettes and running-dog stripes, characteristic of classic Caucasian weaving.

There is slight localised wear visible on closer inspection, consistent with age. Selvedges are secure, and the ends remain original. Overall, the carpet is in very good usable condition and presents as an elegant and highly sought-after example.
