Origin: Heriz

Age: Approx 115 Years Old

Size: 125 x 100 cm

A finely preserved antique Persian Heriz rug, hand-knotted circa 1910, originating from the Heriz region in north-west Iran. Early Heriz rugs of this scale are admired for their bold geometry, saturated natural dyes, and remarkable clarity of design.

This piece features a striking central medallion framed by angular floral motifs and a richly articulated border, rendered in deep indigo blue, warm terracotta, ivory, and soft earth tones. Despite its smaller size, the composition retains the strong architectural presence for which Heriz rugs are celebrated, making it ideal for hallways, studies, entry spaces, or layered interior settings.

At approximately 115 years old, this antique Heriz rug offers both historical value and decorative impact. A characterful piece that brings colour, structure, and authentic craftsmanship to intimate, thoughtfully curated interiors.
