A beautiful vintage Swedish Kilim rug, handwoven in wool and dating from the mid-20th century.

The design features a carefully balanced series of geometric motifs arranged in alternating horizontal bands. Soft ivory and pale grey provide a calm background, complemented by muted olive and moss greens, warm beige and delicate dusty pink accents. A deeper green border frames the composition and gives the rug a distinctive yet understated character.

The geometric floral-inspired motifs and restrained colour palette are characteristic of Scandinavian textile design from this period.
