A beautiful vintage Swedish Kilim rug, handwoven in wool and dating from the mid-20th century.

The rug features a distinctive Scandinavian geometric composition arranged in alternating horizontal bands. Stylised geometric floral motifs in soft pink, muted green and deep blue are set against a subtle combination of ivory and pale grey. A rich blue border frames the design, adding definition while retaining the rug’s soft and balanced appearance.

The restrained geometry, rhythmic pattern and carefully considered colour palette are characteristic of Scandinavian textile design from this period.
